Personal and collaboration stay distinct
Build a shared link library with owner, editor, and viewer roles. Personal collections and notes stay separate; your notes are never added to the collaboration space.
Private sources, portable collection
Browser sources stay on-device. Mask sensitive content with privacy mode, and export or import personal collections as Excel. Notes sync separately and are not included in Excel files.
A boundary you can understand
Your browser data has a home. It does not need a detour.
LinkBench reads tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history on your device. It does not upload browsing history or analyze page content in the cloud. Guest collections and notes stay on-device. After Google sign-in, saved links, groups, link remarks, ordering, and personal notes can sync across devices, including on Basic. Selected text is uploaded only when you deliberately save it as a note and use account sync. Collaboration links and public share snapshots are stored by the service.

Questions before you open a new tab?
Does LinkBench upload my browsing history?
No. Tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history are read and processed on your device. LinkBench does not upload browsing history or perform cloud analysis of page content. Every signed-in plan can sync the LinkBench data you deliberately save: links, group structure, link remarks, ordering, and personal notes, including text you explicitly choose to capture from a webpage.
Does it change my Chrome bookmarks?
Saving a link to LinkBench creates a LinkBench collection entry. It does not create or modify a Chrome bookmark. Deleting a Chrome bookmark or browsing-history item is a separate, explicit action with confirmation.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use the basic plan without an account. Google sign-in enables cloud sync for your personal collections and notes, collaboration, and other account features. Basic includes 5 groups, 20 saved links, and 20 notes.
Can I share a group with someone who does not use LinkBench?
Yes. After sign-in, you can share a personal secondary group, or a collaboration secondary group where you have write access. Anyone with the URL can view the snapshot and open or copy its links. It expires after 90 days and does not track later edits. Importing the group requires LinkBench; the import goes into a personal space and checks for duplicate links.
How does collaboration work?
Signed-in Basic accounts can join a collaboration space. Advanced and Flagship accounts can create one space for up to 5 secondary groups, 50 shared links, and 10 members. Shared content is stored by the LinkBench service and is separate from personal collections.
How do notes work?
Select text on an ordinary webpage and choose Save note, or use + Note in your personal workspace. Notes support basic rich text and up to 5,000 characters each. They sync after sign-in, stay personal, and are separate from link groups, public shares, global link search, and Excel import/export.
What platforms does LinkBench support?
LinkBench is designed for Chrome on desktop computers. Mobile browser support is not part of the current product scope.
What is the difference between saved links and source data?
Source data is what Chrome knows about your tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history. Saved links, groups, link remarks, ordering, and personal notes are the LinkBench data you choose to keep. The two are treated separately so indexing does not overwrite your organization.
